Piazza Navona

Piazza Navona in Rome is famous for the elaborate fountains by Bernini.

People flock there at all times of day, and so do the pigeons.

A variety of entertainment is available pretty much constantly. Some of these nefarious characters have real talent.

And others, well...it's just not that hard to stand there with a fishbowl on your head, ya know?
Still, she looked good in her blue turban, and that's worth something.

  1. Hi Kerry, What beautiful fountains. Fun to see the different "talent" of folks. It's a pleasure to visit with you through Midweek Blues.

  4. Lots to take in over there. I think the lady needs to put a fish in the fish bowl. She'd get more attention.

  5. I always wonder about fountains with water spewing out a mouth. What does it all mean? LOL

It's fun to watch people perform on the street, especially dancing. I could never remain still long enough to hold a fish bowl on my head! Amazing!

  8. I, too, was puzzled by the statue people in Rome.

Did you know that the water from the Trevi Fountain follows an underwater channel then reappears in the Bernini fountain in the Piazza Navona? Cool little factoid.

I love pics and stories of Rome. It is one of my favorite cities.
