Willow Manor Ball 2011

It's the evening of the Willow Manor Ball, a flight of imagination hard to ignore, hosted by the charming and lovely poet Tess Kincaid. Choose anything you want off the internet: your dress, your transportation, your date, anything. What will you eat? What will you drink? Money is no object, and the sky is the limit.

Last year I wore a killer red dress by Donna Karan. But this year I am in a different mood entirely. I just finished reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and from the Hermes Fall 2012 collection, I have JUST what I want right now:

Yep. This is so me. I know it's maybe not ideal for dancing. Whose gonna ask me to dance in this intimidating get-up? I don't care! I'll just stride around the place making sure everybody is safe from Muttations.

Instead of a date I'll have a fabulous red hound at my side. Don't worry, he looks scary, but he's really a dear.

My only accessory will be this silver octi-cuff, an irresistible item from Etsy.

The entree that I choose will of course be none other than lamb stew. As far as beverages go, however...

I am not okay with drinking iodine water, not tonight. Instead I'll have a glass of pinot gris...set down this bow and arrow, put my boots up, ahhh, that's better.
Wow, everybody looks so beautiful.

  1. That rather unorthodox outfit really grabbed my attention. As a man with two red and white basenjis, your choice of a canine escort struck a chord with me.

  2. Well, I for one think those boots are amazing! And with legs like those... you need to be on the dance floor. :)

  3. Kerry, Your ensemble is quite alluring and seems to go with the red feathered haute gown of our hostess. Margaret is quite right about your boots being amazing. The lamb stew looks so yummy. Save me a forkful, please.
