Reub's journey

First snow

We were out last night, and on the way home it started to snow: big, driving flakes hitting the windshield, the first snow of the season. That's why I wasn't surprised to wake up this morning and see that the hills above our house looked like this:

Snow doesn't last long in this mild climate, especially when the sun decides to tease us with an appearance. The sun has been popping out to greet us every hour or so.

In between come the snow showers. This is our back yard about 45 minutes ago, looking so much like a Pointillist painting that I can hardly believe it.

  2. I agree with TexWisGirl. Lovely and makes me wish I might get some real snow sometime this year! I live where we get too much or too little...never just right.

  3. Our backyard looked the same way over and over today, but then it would stop snowing, and none of it stuck.
