This afternoon marks the two week birthday of foster kitty Hester Prynne's kittens. Yes, they are growing more adorable with each passing day: I expected that. However I never could have predicted their genius for math:
A kitten square.
A kitten triangle.
A kitten circle.
And even a kitten parallelogram.
These kittens are clearly geniuses and if you are reading this, you should come straight here and pick out the one you wish to adopt.
Thanks to Hilary, of The Smitten Image for honoring this post.
they are adorable! and very geometrically gifted! :)
ReplyDeleteGeniuses I tell you, geniuses.
Deletethey are adorable. I'm not sure my daughter's cat is through. the girls tell me she's acting like she is in labor again.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope they get their cats neutered asap!
DeleteOh my goodness. The kitten circle is the best. Are you going to keep them all? Yikes! They're kind of irresistible!
ReplyDeleteThey are totally irresistible. I'll keep them for 8 weeks, maybe giving up mama cat first, so she can be neutered and adopted, and then the babies put up for adoption after they are also fixed.
DeleteOh, golly, one will have to be enough, and we already have one. Sometimes, I'm tempted though. Do you know of Strayer? She lives up your way. She's a wonderful cat photographer (of rescue cats), and I would suggest that you check out her recent lineup just for the joy of seeing such beauty if nothing else.

I just went and lurked on her blog, wondering if maybe I'd seen her written about in the local paper at some point. Wow. She's probably single-handedly prevented the birth of thousands of unwanted kittens.
DeleteI love this post! So funny :)
ReplyDeleteYou know you want one. Or your parents do.
DeleteThe cuteness!
ReplyDeleteSoooooo cute, it's ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI hated geometry in high school but if these kitties had been involved I might have gotten a decent grade.
ReplyDeleteStephen, I feel sure you would ace it with these guys around.
DeleteBlack one, black one, black one..... Ridiculous in their cuteness - surely I would call it Pythagorus
ReplyDeleteThe black one is yours. Come and get her. She grows cuter by the hour.
DeleteBlack kittens are always the last ones to be adopted. How I WISH you didn't live in *&^%$! LONDON.
DeleteWhat cute bundles of geometric images.Greetings to you on the occasion of India's Independence Day today.
ReplyDeleteIndependence Day in India! What a big day; I must look into this and see what kinds of things you're doing to celebrate. Have fun!
DeleteEHR MA GERD KIRRTERRRN SHERRRRPS!
ReplyDeleteda berrrst kirrterrn sherrrrps in der werrrld. u sherrrd ADERRRPT one NOWRRR!
DeleteI have always wanted a black kitten.. they were the first to go in the litter from which I got my current pair. That worked out just fine though.. I adore my cats.
ReplyDeleteThese little ones are just adorable, Kerry. I love your kittie math. Too cute.
Awww Hilary, I love black cats too. I can't understand why black cats and dogs linger in the shelters. I wish you could adopt this little sweetie.
ReplyDeleteOh, they are so adorable! Nothing more fun than little kittens! Especially smart ones like these!
ReplyDeleteThey are more fun with each passing day!
Deletecame back t say congrats on the POTW!
ReplyDeleteThanks, twg. I was surprised this morning by the potw.
DeleteVery clever Kerry. When they master pythagorean theorem, my middle school son will want them to sit next to him in geometry and algebra classes.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the post of the week.
These little smarties would LOVE to move in with you and your family. Cheaper than a math tutor, & far more fun!
DeleteWell...maybe not cheaper in the long run.
far better at math than i .. wonderful post, i wish we could adopt a kitten .. alas .. 12 yr old Ms Rose who runs our lives is already unhappy sharing us with young Jack ..
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a POTW!
Thank you Daryl. I don't think our dogs would want us to keep one either, darn it.
