Reub's journey

My humiliation

Eddy here! I haven't written for awhile, but I've gotta talk about what happened today. Here goes:

I walk into "the study" which I don't know why they call it that because sure as hell I've never seen anyone study in there. There's just a bunch of books and a computer and a futon (and why that would be in "a study" who knows? Is "studying" so exhausting you need a place to sleep?)

I myself never really sleep, but I lie down anyway, and Reub is right there, "sleeping," and muttering ever-so-subtly out of the side of his mouth: there's a cat in here.

Really? The foster kittens are usually banished to their own room. This is unusual.

I decide to investigate.  Reub continues to "sleep."

He's deeply in denial, and there's nothing I can do.

OMG.

Rueb is right. It's a kitten. In "the study."

I must get closer.

I must get really close.

Really really close.

Really really really reeeeeallllly close. Cripes, aren't I scary?

Scary!!!! Someone? Anyone? No?

The kitten fell asleep. My humiliation is complete. Sigh.

    1. Welllll...I have actually met all of the kittens. Kerry says it's good for us dogs and cats. We're sposed to learn to live together. Kinda like Republicans and Democrats.

  6. Nothing quite as humiliating as being ignored by a cat-in-training but Eddy is too cute to be scary.

  7. Poor Eddy. His domain has been infiltrated by a cute kitty. My canines said to tell him that dogs rule and cats drool. Bwah-haha!

    1. Kittens play weird. And it's not fair that they have those claws.

    1. Are you saying that one cannot be scary and adorable at the same time? That bites.

  10. Don't feel too bad. Even though I like them a lot, cats are notoriously rude, Eddy.
