Clouds

There's been good cloud-watching lately.

You would think that Oregon, with its wet climate, might be a good place for cloud drama but actually it isn't. Often the sky is either cloudless and blue (summer) or uniform gray and misty (winter). It is punctuated by the color of the verdant landscape and with a little luck, maybe a rainbow.

The changeable spring climate has been populating the sky with all manner of fascinating cloud creatures this week. What do you see?

I see Eddy. Catching a tennis ball.

Or maybe Pegasus, the king of cloud horses.

I love clouds.

  1. Ha! You have good eyesight. Our summers are usually full of haze. Spring and fall we get great clouds. None have looked like Eddy....yet.

    1. I never tire of seeing rainbows. They appear rather often here, but I'm always a bit surprised by them.

  3. It's been a long time since I laid on the grass on looked up at the clouds, imaging the animals contained in their shapes. Must remember to do this.

  6. Ah! The Pegasus is amazing! Kerry, my day has actually materially improved after seeing that. And it was already going well! Thank you.

(By the way, I saw a friendly dragon. He wanted a hug. There was a little puff swirling out of his snout during his open-armed plea.)

    1. Oh I see him too, now that you mention it, his front legs, both of his shadowy eyes, and his mouth! A magic dragon.

  7. Clouds and trees tend to provide images like this, for me. Like Suze, I saw Puff the Magic Dragon. I love the rainbow too.
