Not enough dogs

One dog comes a-running.

One dog is not enough dogs.

Two dogs ready to play.

Two dogs are not enough dogs.

Three dogs, though. That's what you need if you want a chariot.

Chariot of the Dogs.

Dog#3, Calvin, is settling in nicely after saying good-bye to his favorite people on Sunday. I've promised to hug him 10 times a day until they return in December from Kenya.

Three happy dogs.

Linking to Friday My Town Shoot-Out. Go there to see other odd numbers:)

  2. He's a black beauty. Wow, that's a long time to be away from his loved ones. I can only imagine how he'll react when he sees them again.

    1. Yeah, he looks like a black German Shepherd. Maybe a shepherd-border collie mix?

Oh boy, he's going to do back flips of joy when they get back!

  6. Three is my favorite number! I have 3 of the human variety and 3 canine variety myself. Works for me. Calvin couldn't have found a nicer pack to spend the rest of the year with. All are beautiful dogs!

    4. I figured it would have to be you:) Calvin will NOT refuse to leave, I promise you. He tells me every day how much he misses you. Every day. But he wonders if maybe he could take the back yard with him when he goes?

  8. You have taken on a big responsibility. Bless you. I have never kept my children's pets for six months but know you will manage very well.

    1. He's a pretty easy dog, very sweet and quiet. I think it will go ok, plus he will expertly rid the yard of all possible rodents. :)

  9. Aww what a sweetie. So kind of you to take him in. Six months is a long time without his people.

  12. I love your last photo. Notice how hard it is to get animals to look at you especially if there are more than two?
