Weekend wisdom from Eddy

From the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra:

Look lovingly at some object. Do not go to another object. Here in the middle of the object—the blessing.

  1. Nice shot.

Continuing our conversation in your previous post, other funny books:

All-time favorite: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

    Also good:
    Dave Barry Does Japan
Anne of Green Gables is hysterically funny at times
    Paper Lion by George Plimpton

I know there are others. They'll come to me.

    1. Anne of Green Gables? Really? huh. Keep 'em coming, AS.

    2. I was surprised, too. It's not wall-to-wall laughs like some of the others but the bit when Matthew tries to buy a dress for Anne nearly knocked me off the couch from laughing so hard.

      I'll keep thinking...

    3. Makes me want to read it; I've only seen the old pbs televised version. I should read Dave Barry Does Japan; although I haven't spent as much time there as you have I bet I would find it humorous.

  2. Eddy wonders where you found that 8 ball black tennis ball?

    1. Hehheh. I found it, forgotten in a cabinet. It's made by Kong & was probably a freebie from some past purchase. Eddy used to only want yellow tennis balls, but now he has expanded his interest.

    1. Right? Yeah. When you get tired of looking at it you can always ask it a question:

    1. Eddy likes it Mersad, but still prefers yellow tennis balls. I should take this & just play tennis with it.

  7. That ball rocks. Our dog mysteriously loves only one toy: the well-chewed snowman that was the only thing that survived when we rescued him - everything else was, sadly, rotted. It's hardly photogenic, yet that never seems to cross his mind as he literally comes to life when he realizes it's there.

    Bless their furry little souls.

    1. Your dog is obeying the Tantra: "Do not go to another object." Wow, whatta dog!
