First the car.
Then the pick-up.
The ensuing thought process went like so:
1. Hey that's funny, think I'll take a picture.
2. I wonder if they attend the same class. Haha!
3. Crap. I hope they're not in my tai chi class.
4. That's an uncharitable thought. Both of these people need tai chi.
5. Hope I don't have to stand between them.
keen observation(s) - all of them. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd then later, the 6th thought:
Delete"Whew, sure am glad they were not in tai chi, either one of them." :-)
I think I am glad that I still live in a country where people can use bumper stickers to express their beliefs and causes....I think.
ReplyDeleteFree speech and all that, right? Sometimes people get a little overboard with their bumper stickers though.
DeleteYou are awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat class are you taking?
I do tai chi twice a week, and have one 3-hour art class on Fridays. It's nice.
DeleteI guess the car was on the left and the pickup parked on the right, Should have been a station wagon in the middle.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Perfect!
DeleteDelightful. I no longer have bumper stickers on my VW bus --no sense inviting road rage. But did approve of one lately seen on a pickup:"Yes, it's my truck. No, I won't help you move."
ReplyDeleteHa! Funny one. Our poor little pickup has helped on so many moves. I guess that's one reason we can't part with it (can't sell it now...so-and-so needs it next month).
DeleteSad how divided our country has become....
ReplyDeleteYes. And it doesn't look like it's going to get better any time soon.
DeleteI really do not understand bumper stickers. It seems to me like the person has a need to let you know who they think they are but aren't confident enough in who they think they are to the extent that they need to advertise it so we can tell them who they are. Or something like that.
ReplyDeleteI don't like them because it seems all they do is separate people into groups and people usually are not their best self when in a group.
Bumper stickers are a car's way of yelling at you, and you didn't even ask for it.
DeleteOne bumper sticker that I found particularly amusing was on a VW Beetle. It said "When I grow up, I want to be a Mercedes."
ReplyDeleteGood catch seeing these two together. I'm more inclined to wince at the second one though.
Oh,that's a good one. :)
DeleteYeah, I don't like that cluster of opinions on the second vehicle either.
Not a bumper sticker person. What does that say about me? Sometimes if you express beliefs or politics on your vehicle you can invite road rage. Oh wait, we do have a Triple A sticker:-)
ReplyDeleteRoad rage and/or having your vehicle scratched in the parking lot.
DeleteI've seen a few bumper stickers I would have put on my car but the husband is against bumper stickers in general. they can be amusing though on other's people's cars. some of them. some just show the owners' hatefulness.
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly.
DeleteThe bumper stickers in these photos just holler "arrogance." But some bumper stickers are funny & I don't mind them.
I'm glad my dad didn't give the finger to the Pro Gun guy. (You'd have to read today's post to understand). There are some mighty strong opinions out there, huh?
ReplyDeleteBoy, I'll say. How could you be pro-gun before being pro-life? Oh wait, that makes perfect sense.
DeletePlease, report back. We need a second part! :-) That was a very good post. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Let's just say I'm very careful where I stand in tai chi class these days. :-)
