Friday Shoot-out: 10 minutes from my house

The idea of the My Town Shoot Out is to post photos of your community every Friday, and hopefully improve your photography skills. If you would like to see examples of this week's theme from other parts of the world, go here.

All pictures shot in Corvallis, Oregon.

Ten minutes from my house, give or take a few seconds, lies the entrance to Fitton Green, a public space just outside of town. This property was donated to the city a decade ago to give access to the amazing views of the Pacific Coast Range, just to our west.

In the wet winter months we often go here on dark days to walk Ed and Reub.

After work there is just enough light to make it worthwhile.

So beautiful.

  7. The dogs will love such a big space to walk. I went to a scientific reserve yesterday, sorry Ed and Ruben, no dogs allowed. Place where endangered species of birds are there.

  8. this is 'so beautiful' what a great place for you and the dogs to run. looks cold, is it? Oregon is at the top of my list of places to visit in the usa once I QUIT traveling with Camillo.
