Triangles in the sky on one of our rare clear days this spring in Oregon.
Circular mirror on a 1950 Chevrolet, parked in the garage of a juke box repairman.
Two squares, one on top of the other, in a blockhouse fort located in Dayton, Oregon. This is one of the first forts in the state, and is based on early English military architecture. Such structures can be found wherever the British came to rest: from New Zealand and the Americas to Southern Africa. You can read more about it here.
Love that triangle in the sky, a good catch!
ReplyDeleteWasn't this assignment fun? I really like the car mirror. funky building.
ReplyDeleteWhahaha I love the last one...beautiful! And the sky one...perfect!! Sarah :)
ReplyDeleteWow! You found three really diverse shapes! Love the square on square building and that last shot is lovely, as well as having all the elements.
ReplyDeletemp windows for the enemy to look inside
ReplyDeleteFantastic -- perfect and fascinating. Looking at the sky picture, I'm glad that the planes were flying at different altitudes!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these, very clever!
ReplyDeleteVery clever to see these;
ReplyDeleteI find blogging has opened my eyes, and given me ideas, far more that I ever had before. I'd have walked straight past these pictures, possibly admiring the blockhouse but not thinking of seeing them as geometric shapes.
As I said, very clever and well observed.
The blockhouse fort h=is such a great shot with the squares and the triangles together.
ReplyDeleteYou get an A on this assignment.
ReplyDeleteWell done Kerry. I especially like the block house. The mirror is pretty cool too. What am I saying? I like them all.
ReplyDeletegreat shots all, but my fav is the two squares on top - block house fort. wonderful old building.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the bolt! I can't believe you saw three shapes in that. Good eyes!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever when you were in school answered a question out of point? That was how I felt when I went to FSO, and looked at the first line, and saw church. I did it, and then when I went to Linky, I saw you and everyone doing something else. By then, I already told my Australian friends to go on the post.
ReplyDeleteThis is the second time I had done this. Lousy teacher
I am. LOL
I miss the Friday shot out but my cataract is so bad I cannot see through a camera lens. May 19th I get my surgery. Still over a month away. I love your shoot out, Kerry. You have found such interesting expressions for your assignment. Creative and fun. Thanks. =D
ReplyDeleteI really think the old fort is awesome I love old buildings and to hear about the history is a bonus. The bolt is my second choose what a great find for the theme.
